    (1797-1874)

    Hans Ferdinand Massmann (1797-1874) setzte sich mit der Philologie des Mittelalters auseinander und war einer der ersten Lehrstuhlinhaber für Germanistik in München. Er gehörte auch zu seit seiner Gymnasialzeit der Turnerbewegung an.

    Hans Ferdinand Massmann war ein deutscher mediavistischer Philologe und einer der ersten Lehrstuhlinhaber für Germanistik in München.

    DArüber hinaus war er auch noch ein aktiver Turner und verfasste Gedichte.
